Musese Village Ministries: The Timeline
In the fall of 2005, Musese Village Ministries president Eric, went to Kenya with Pastor Harry from Lititz United Methodist Church in Lancaster County, PA. Through this trip, the ministry began. Below is a timeline of Musese Village Ministries:
2005- First trip to Kenya with Lititz United Methodist Church
2006- Three acres of land is bought for the church in Musese Village. This land is used for the church, to create a farm and to build a school.
2007- The school building is built.
2008- First missions team from Lititz UMC goes to Musese Village. The school is open for children.
2009- The first pop-up medical clinic, led by members of the missions team from Lititz UMC.
2010- A permanent medical clinic is added to the Musese church complex. The clinic is open 1 day per week.
2011- Medical clinic is open 3 days per week
2017- Start of the Widow Ministry
2024- Medical Clinic open 7 days per week. Becomes a government recognized medical facility.
2024- Musese Village becomes a non-profit 501(3)(c)
2026- Plans for Medical Clinic Expansion
In addition to the events and ministries on the timeline, yearly missions trips have gone to Musese Village from 2005-Present. Currently, we are looking to expand the medical clinic to two buildings, and add a maternity ward.
